What is the use of On Load changeover Switch ?

CHANGEOVER SWITCH :-

Changeover switches are one of the widely used switches. Changeover Switches are used to Switch over from electricity supply to stand-by supply. Thus power continuity is ensured. Reliability is the most important factor of its application. When it is required most then Changeover Switch has to operate. Elcon Changeover Switches meet this criteria perfectly and is show beyond doubt over decades.

On Load Changeover Switch(Changeover Switch) :-

Onload Changeover Switches consists of two separate sets of terminals for incoming supplies and a set of output terminals to connect the common load. Hence,changeover switch ensures continuity of supply so that the load by alternating between normal and alternate supply.

Onload Changeover has 3 positions as defined below :-

Position I     :- Switch is in ON position with normal supply available at the outgoing terminal

Position O  :- Switch is in OFF position & outgoing terminals are isolated from both supplies

 (normal& alternate supplies)

Position II  :- Switch is in ON position with alternate supply available at the outgoing terminals.

CHANGEOVER SWITCH IN SHEET STEEL ENCLOSURE :-

The Changeover Switches are available in sheet steel enclosure. Comes with adequate space for cable terminations. Hence, the additional cable entry boxes are not required.

The Changeover Switch in Sheet Steel Enclosure can be used either to protect against one supply (line) or protect the load side. It contribute the welfare of overload and short circuit protection through the fastest switching device-fuse.

DOUBLE HANDED CHANGEOVER SWITCH (DUMECO) :-

There is another ELCON DUMECO TYPE Double Handle Changeover Switch ranging from 125A, 200A, 250A, 300A, 400A, 630A, 800A, and 1000A. It is a mechanically interlocked DUMECO-TYPE Changeover switch.

These ratings are available in Open Execution and Sheet Steel Enclosure too.

SINGLE HANDED CHANGEOVER SWITCH( CSH TYPE) :

There is a CSH TYPE ELCON Single Handle Changeover Switch ranging from 32A, 63A, 100A, 125A, 160A, 200A, 250A, 320A, 400A, 630A, 800A, and 1000A. 

 

Note:-Elcon Changeover Switches are embracely simple on the other hand powerfull and expeditious/ break spring operated mechanism. Which is the superlative thing about Elcon which helps operator.
